End of Life Windows Server 2003 Support

Support from Microsoft for Windows Server 2003 is ending on the 14th of July 2015. That means that from that date, Microsoft will no longer provide critical security updates or patches for the system, potentially leaving it vulnerable to security threats.

There are a number of options available to you if you are still running Windows Server 2003. Those include:

  • Upgrading to an On-Premise version of Windows 2012. This is a good option if you have large volumes of sensitive data and a large number of users on a single site.
  • Migrating to a Hybrid Cloud, where you distribute your data and services across multiple cloud services, with varying levels of security controls in place.
  • Upgrading to a Private Cloud, where you enjoy all of the benefits of cloud computing on a dedicated platform with enhanced business security, all managed on your behalf for a single, predictable monthly cost.

Wanstor have already migrated the large majority of our customers who were running Windows Server 2003, ensuring that they continue to receive critical updates in order to stay compliant and secure.

For more information about your options, please phone the Wanstor Solutions Team on 0333 123 0360 or contact us online.
